One day before heading to Ba Na, besides researching the weather, Ba Na Hills cable car ticket prices, and some small tips, you should also note the shortest, easiest, and safest route. Here is the route that I find the easiest and most commonly chosen.

Option 1: Ba Na – Suoi Mo Route

This is the shortest and easiest route to Ba Na Hills. The Ba Na – Suoi Mo route is 37 km long with the following itinerary:

Start from Da Nang city center > Follow Dien Bien Phu Street > At the Hue overpass intersection, cross the bridge to Ton Duc Thang Street > Turn left onto Ba Na – Suoi Mo Street, also known as Hoang Van Thai Street. There are many signs here, and after about 20 km straight, you will arrive.

Option 2: Route via QL14B

This route to Ba Na Hills is longer, about 14 km more, and has more large vehicles, so you need to be cautious.

Itinerary: Start from the city center and follow Nguyen Huu Tho Street > Go straight to the roundabout, then turn right onto QL14B (CMT8 Street) > Continue straight to the city bypass > Follow this road for about 7.5 km until you reach Ba Na – Suoi Mo Street > Continue following the signs to Ba Na Hills.

Option 3: Route via DT602

This is the longest route from the city center to the Ba Na Hills tourist area.

Itinerary: From the city center, follow Duy Tan and Nguyen Van Linh Streets > Turn onto Nguyen Tri Phuong – Le Do, then turn left onto Nguyen Tat Thanh Street > Keep going straight, then turn left onto Nguyen Luong Bang/QL1A – DDT602 and follow the signs to Ba Na Hills.

Where to Park Your Motorbike at Ba Na Hills

To avoid waiting in line for tickets, you can purchase them in advance from travel agencies.

What to Prepare for a Motorbike Trip to Ba Na Hills

  • Bring some water and snacks for the journey to Ba Na Hills. Although the route is only about 30 km long, it mainly consists of mountainous terrain, so it will take more time. If you are riding a motorbike to Ba Na Hills, you can stop along the way to have a snack and take in the expansive, cool views of Mount Chua.
  • The road to Ba Na is easy and flat, but there are some sharp curves, especially near the tourist area. Make sure to keep a steady hand on the handlebars and avoid large vehicles to ensure safety.
Remember to check the weather before going up to Ba Na Hills.
  • The peak of Ba Na Hills is located at 1,489 meters above sea level, with cool weather year-round and possibly chilly at certain times of the day. To stay warm and avoid getting sick, remember to wear a thick jacket, and if you have a scarf, that’s even better. Additionally, to prevent sore feet while hiking, bring a pair of sturdy shoes with soft soles.

Therefore, you can travel to Ba Na Hills by motorbike or other convenient means of transportation. Don’t forget to keep a map of Ba Na Hills tourist area handy to make moving around and exploring Ba Na easier, ensuring you don’t miss out on the exciting experiences in this amusement paradise atop Mount Chua!
