Flies to Phong Nha
Airplanes are chosen as the most convenient means of transport for visitors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and foreign tourists. International flights are carefully considered by travelers around the world. In Vietnam, there are currently three major international airports including:
- Noi Bai International Airport – Hanoi
- Tan Son Nhat International Airport – Ho Chi Minh
- Da Nang International Airport – City. Danang
If you are departing from Ho Chi Minh City, you will need to book a domestic flight to Dong Hoi airport to get to Phong Nha. If you come from Hanoi, you can travel to us by all 3 means (airplane, train or bus). And if you are going from Da Nang, bus or train will be good options to take you to Phong Nha.
Hanoi – Phong Nha : Traveling by plane from Noi Bai airport to Dong Hoi airport is the fastest way to go from Hanoi to Quang Binh and it only takes you 1 hour 30 minutes to move.
Please note that Noi Bai airport is a large airport and is far from the center of Hanoi so you should plan your time properly to ensure your arrival on time! You can check the flight information on the airline’s website to see available flights on the date you plan to travel. In addition, when traveling by plane, you will need an additional transfer from Dong Hoi – Phong Nha. Besides, you can also choose to travel by train or bus.
Ho Chi Minh – Phong Nha: Booking a domestic flight from Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh) – Dong Hoi Airport is the most reasonable way for travel from Ho Chi Minh – Phong Nha. And you will need an extra transfer from Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Airport to reach us (it takes about 45 minutes).
Besides, you can also travel by train or bus from HCM – Phong Nha, but this will take you a lot of time and may affect your upcoming trip.
BUS TO Phong Nha
Traveling by bus will be an opportunity for you to meet and connect with new friends during your journey to Phong Nha. On sleeper buses, there will be full basic equipment such as air conditioning, sometimes there is also free wifi and a small toilet for guests in the back of the car. During the journey, the car will stop for a few minutes at some points for guests to rest and deal with necessary needs. Most bus companies will stop at Phong Nha. Therefore, the option of traveling by bus is becoming a popular choice for tourists. At the same time, we would like to introduce some bus companies you can refer to such as Hung Thanh Travel and Queen Cafe Bus. Bus fare is about 250,000VND/person. This price may vary depending on the operator and the route you take.
Hanoi to Phong Nha :
Relatively easy to get from Hanoi – Phong Nha and vice versa. Most bus companies will stop directly at Phong Nha. This way you can reduce the cost of the transfer from Dong Hoi (train station and airport) to Phong Nha.
Hung Thanh bus will depart from Hanoi (at 162B Tran Quang Khai) at 6pm and is scheduled to arrive in Phong Nha at 4am the next day.
Another option: Queen Café bus – departs at the same time as Hung Thanh bus at 208 Tran Quang Khai – Hanoi (at 6pm) and arrives in Phong Nha at 4am the next day.
Ninh Binh to Phong Nha:
Ninh Binh is located on the route from Hanoi to Phong Nha, so you can use the same bus from Hanoi to Phong Nha. The bus will depart from Ninh Binh at about 10 pm.
Ha Long to Phong Nha:
For bus companies departing from Ha Long, please note that guests will be dropped off at Dong Hoi and not at Phong Nha. And you will need to book an additional transfer from Dong Hoi to Phong Nha. You can find out more about Hoang Long Bus Company if you are departing from Ha Long.
Hue to Phong Nha:
Hue is located a few hours drive from Phong Nha. Currently, there are many buses running the Hue – Phong Nha route. Hung Thanh bus departs at 49 Chu Van An, Hue at 5pm and arrives in Phong Nha at 9pm.
Other alternative: Tan Nhat/ Duy Tan Bus – departs from Hue city center at 7am and arrives in Phong Nha at noon.
Another option: DMZ bus – departs at 1 Pham Ngu Lao, Hue at 2pm and arrives in Phong Nha at 6pm. Da Nang (Hoi An) to Phong Nha: Da Nang is the largest city in the central region of Vietnam – famous for its beautiful beaches and magnificent mountains. The journey from Da Nang to Phong Nha takes about 7 hours. You can book bus tickets to Hung Thanh – departing in Hoi An at 1pm and in Da Nang at 2pm, expected to arrive in Phong Nha around 9pm. Besides, the DMZ bus company also runs from Da Nang or Hoi An to Phong Nha, but you will need to buy 2 bus tickets for the route from Da Nang/Hoi An – Hue and Hue – Phong Nha.
Da Nang (Hoi An) to Phong Nha: Da Nang is the largest city in the central region of Vietnam – famous for its beautiful beaches and magnificent mountains. The journey from Da Nang to Phong Nha takes about 7 hours. You can book bus tickets to Hung Thanh – departing in Hoi An at 1pm and in Da Nang at 2pm, expected to arrive in Phong Nha around 9pm. Besides, the DMZ bus company also runs from Da Nang or Hoi An to Phong Nha, but you will need to buy 2 bus tickets for the route from Da Nang/Hoi An – Hue and Hue – Phong Nha.
GO TO PHONG NHA BY TRAIN
Traveling by train is a fun travel experience that you can enjoy, enjoy the scenery on the trip or simply enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Booking a soft sleeper cabin ticket with 4 comfortable beds is a great option for travelers to be able to sit or lie down.
